You'll find walleye hanging out near rocky points or along weed edges, usually in water 10 feet or deeper. They love structure, so we'll check out break lines and rock piles. Live bait is key - minnows, nightcrawlers, or leeches work great. We often use a live bait rig, trolling slowly along the bottom. Spring and fall are prime walleye seasons when the water's cooler. These fish put up a good fight and have a mild, sweet flavor that's hard to beat. Walleye
